Bryan is one of the rare natives to the San Francisco Bay Area. A fifth generation Californian, he grew up in the Bay Area with deep ties to the North and East Bay. After completing his primary education, Bryan enrolled and attended Solano Community College in Fairfield, California.
Bryan’s upbringing instilled in him a drive to make his community better. While he attended community college, Bryan was active in local and state level politics, volunteering and working on several campaigns.
Bryan transferred to UC Davis, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in comparative politics with a minor in European history in 2013. He also participated in programs like the UC Davis Study Abroad program in Geneva, Switzerland where he studied international relations at the United Nations.
Bryan decided that he wanted to pursue a career in law, believing that was the best way he could help those in need. He worked for a small criminal defense office while he applied to law schools. The attorneys he worked for at this time are still very close to Bryan and he considers them his most important mentors and role models.
Bryan was accepted to Golden Gate University, School of Law in 2013. While at GGU, he worked for the Public Defender offices for both Contra Costa and Alameda County, representing individuals in and out of the criminal justice system. This was the first time that Bryan truly saw the justice system and how having zealous and compassionate representation can make a difference for individuals at the most trying times in their lives. Bryan was also elected by his peers to be the Student Bar Association Vice President where he oversaw the diverse campus student organizations.
Bryan graduated from Golden Gate University with his J.D. and additional certificates of completion in Public Interest Law and Litigation. He also received such honors as the CALI award in Criminal Litigation, a member of the Dean’s List, and the Pro Bono Honors Society for his volunteer work. Bryan was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Scholarship and Leadership at his graduation ceremony.
Bryan eventually made the transition over to personal injury law when he was hired as a paralegal and legal assistant for a solo practitioner in Oakland. Having been a paralegal on some significant cases, Bryan began to become more passionate about representing those injured and assisting them in being compensated for the harm that they suffered.
Upon passing the California state Bar, Bryan began working as an injury attorney at a small law office in Hayward, California. In February of 2023, he was offered a position at Coopers LLP and gladly accepted.
A die-hard San Francisco Giants and San Jose Sharks fan, you will often find Bryan sporting his teams’ apparel and attending games. When he is not working or at a game, you can often find him gaming with his college friends, shooting with his dad, or chowing down at Fentons in Oakland.
