Born in New York and raised in Gujarat, India, Preeti appreciates the blend of the two cultures she grew up with. She earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Transportation Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She worked in Geographic Information Sciences, creating navigational maps, before transitioning to a career in accounting.
With over ten years of experience in full-cycle accounting for production, manufacturing, and business-to-customer companies and a passion for data, numbers, and accuracy, Preeti is thrilled to be a key member of the Finance team at Coopers LLP.
Did you know: Preeti can divide a beat with her feet! Dance has brought her joy throughout her life. While she enjoyed folk dancing during her earlier years, she considers herself fortunate to learn traditional Kathak (one of the eight major forms of Indian classical dance) from Kathak Guru, the late Pandit Chitresh Das.
Preeti is one of the co-founders of the Chitresh Das Institute, which currently boasts 200 students. She thoroughly enjoys the physical and mental challenges that this beautiful art form presents. Engaging with families in the Bay Area and building a community where Kathak students of all ages can connect and thrive inspires her to teach, which she has been doing for over 17 years.
Preeti also enjoys traveling with her family and friends. A plant lover, she also loves spending time outdoors with her husband and two kids who recently graduated from college.
Welcome to the team, Preeti!
