Kay’s passion for helping others is her primary motivation for her work and she enjoys working with individuals from different backgrounds. She is an experienced paralegal with eighteen years’ experience in various practice areas, including plaintiff and defense personal injury, product liability, class actions, securities law, probate, collections, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and health insurance law.
As a paralegal within the Litigation Department, she supports and manages numerous cases for several attorneys. She collaborates with the team from initial case intake to trial preparation, including assisting with discovery. Kay has excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and extensive knowledge of the litigation process. Her strong work ethic, professionalism, dedication, and passion for each client are fundamental qualities that set her apart as a legal professional. Kay was drawn to the core values that Coopers LLP upholds and enjoys working closely as a team where collaboration provides great results, and clients are an integral part of the process.
Kay earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in marketing, and her associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Berkeley College in New York City. Bilingual in Spanish, Kay effectively communicates with Spanish-speaking clients.
In her spare time, Kay enjoys going to the gym, running, taking her bicycle out on area trails, watching sports, spending time with her family and yorkie, Chuckie.
