Megan has more than 25 years of experience in the legal field. While attending California State University, Sacramento, she was hired as a legal assistant by a FELA trial attorney. The relationships she developed with catastrophically injured railroad workers made a strong impression. Seeing their fear and uncertainty turn into trust, and ultimately triumph, was tremendously rewarding.
After exploring the “other side” working at insurance law firms in Oregon and Washington, Megan realized her heart was not only back in her home of Northern California, but in plaintiff work. In that arena, she could help individuals whose lives were changed by negligence. Megan moved back to California and has worked as a personal injury case manager ever since.
Megan was specifically drawn to three of Coopers LLP’s core values: relentlessness, commitment, and collaboration. She enjoys the client communication, evidence-gathering, and writing that make up the bulk of her work with the pre-litigation team, while appreciating being part of a firm that thoroughly prepares every case for the possibility of litigation and trial.
Outside of the office, Megan enjoys hiking in the Bay Area, Auburn, and Tahoe, and traveling to warm, sunny places.
